Templates folder
Panviva provides you with an assortment of ready-made templates located in the Home> Templates folder. The Templates folder stores document templates which are available for selection when a new document is created. You can change these to meet the need of your business or create your own.
Templates should be created sparingly and only after thorough consideration of the documentation structure required.
Default template folder
When your new Panviva instance is created, we provide you with a set of default Panviva templates for procedures, overviews and process flows which can be used and changed to suit business requirements. The Panviva default settings allow for you to designate a default templates folder. Thus, when you create a New document from a template, the default template folder automatically displays the list of templates.
Tip: Put all of your templates in the default Templates folder.
If you have multiple lines of business or departments that have their own templates, simply create subfolders within the Templates folder to accommodate them.
New templates
New templates can be created under the Templates folder at any time to suit your business requirements.
Orphans folder
When a document or folder is removed, it is not removed from the database. Instead, it is transferred to the Orphans folder.
Note: This is similar to the way the 'Recycle Bin' works in Windows. Any document or folder can be restored if necessary by simply moving it out of the orphans folder.
However, selecting a folder and clicking Delete all orphans will permanently delete the documents and folders from the database.
For more information, see Manage orphans.
Stock text
The Stock text folder stores a library of stock text documents.
Stock text documents contain commonly used text, tables, subheadings, etc. that may be used through many documents.
